Outdoor Sheets Family Portraits 🧺🌾
When Morgan first contacted me and sent her inspo photos I was SUPER excited because I’m always looking to do FUN and creative photo shoots. This would be our second time shooting so I really loved how different it was from our first session. Morgan, Tay, and Reign, are fun and entertaining, they are the perfect candid family 🥰😂
To pull off the sheet family portraits we used
- Clothes line
- Clothes pins (larger size recommended)
- White sheets
- Amazon background stand to hold up the ends
I absolutely love the outcome of this session. Morgan brought multiple outfits with her and I just chose what they should put on for the session based on the entire color pallet. We loved the neutral tones! It’s cool when y’all bring the attire in person or text me pictures with you trying it on. This is ONLY good for sessions that are 1 hour or more, we wouldn’t want to cut into the session time selecting clothes for a mini session (30 minutes).
I decided that Covington, La was the ideal spot for this session and would really bring the photos to life.✨

When jasmine contacted us she attached a photo of the pearl outfit she wanted to wear and the location she wanted to use. Jasmines hair, nails, accessories, outfit, and location all came together PERFECTLY to bring her maternity photos to life. I absolutely LOVE attention to detail, it all matters. Jasmines ability to take direction for her poses was amazing!! Most clients just aren’t models but you sure can look like one just following a few prompts. 😉✨
Fun 30th Birthday Photo Shoot Idea
Dominique’s Birthday Shoot 💐🍃💛
When Dominique contacted us she said she was looking for a grown and sexy, yet sophisticated old black Hollywood, rich in spirit and pocket type of photoshoot!
The photos that she sent for her inspo was in studio, which we do not offer. We informed her of what we would be able to do outdoors based on inspo. Dominique got a private air b&b with a garden because she knew she wanted to be comfortable nude!! A fully private session. ✨
I absolutely loved doing her shoot, it was so much fun and definitely NEW for us! The pearl top was ordered from @sheinofficial Dominique made her pearl bottoms which was too cute, I love when y’all get creative! All of her accessories were on point and her hair was perfect for the theme! 🥰
Dominique contacted us to do an outdoor session with a vintage theme. She attached inspiration from Pinterest of a vintage themed birthday session of a woman with a floral bouquet, pearl top and fascinator. For her session she got a pearl top from SHEIN and customized her own bottoms to compliment! The day of her session Dominique sent us the address to an AirBnB near Audobon Park and Magazine Street. This was the perfect 30th birthday gift to give to herself; the photos came out amazing!
Because so much skin was exposed and we still needed outdoors for the vision, an AirBnB was an amazing compliment to the session. This option provided privacy and its own setting that gave the client scenes unique to her album since it’s not a public venue.

I’ve been wanting to do a flower top photoshoot since I seen it on Pinterest over a year ago. Decided to offer some to my clients and decided to do one for myself. This shoot was so fun and creative!! Let me know your favorites ☺️
I decided to go with the color purple for my photoshoot because it’s my favorite color of course and it’s my birth stone color. ✨💟
I went into Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, and Rouses to grab flowers to combine and make myself a cute flower top! I’m very into designing floral arrangements but I am no professional lol!! Eucalyptus is one of my favorite plants so not only did they smell good but they really made the floral top POP.✨
It feels so crazy being in front of the camera because I’m not that great at releasing control, a true issue of a perfectionist lol!! Shoutout to my husband @____jdavis for killing this session! I hope you guys enjoy these and let me know what you think✨

We absolutely loved shooting with them again as we had already took their maternity photos!! The maternity pictures came out so good and these two were such a pleasure to shoot! 🥰
We really enjoy shooting with our clients after they’ve given birth to their baby, it’s so beautiful to see and document families growing. Enzo is truly camera ready, his smile and happy energy made this session easily one of my favorites! 😍
Also we actually shot these photos in December but they are giving extreme fall vibes lol! Every year New Orleans doesn’t really show fall until the last week of November or the first week of December.

Morgan, Daniel, and Daniel Jr are new clients of ours and everything about their session was new as well. Trying new concepts and bringing new ideas to life in your photography can be a strain on your creative flow. Thankfully we had good clients who wanted the best photos, making it easy for us to express ourselves and bring this new vision to life.
We used areas of New Orleans City Park that we typically pass over, tried entirely new angles, and in the end, set up an outdoor studio using two backdrop stands, a large white sheet, and a wooden crate for variety.
Race and Religious Maternity Photo Shoot | New Orleans Best Maternity Photographer
I was ecstatic when I got Brittany’s inquiry about shooting her maternity photos at Race and Religious! It’s a very charming venue at the corner of Race and Religious Streets in New Orleans that has just about every element you would expect in the city. Needless to say I was ready to pop Brittany and her bun around the property in both dresses. Each outfit bought their own taste to the session and gave us great variety in our final images. Shooting the property is like stepping back in time while creating in the modern one.
Amazing lighting, music, and everyone’s good energy to create made this first maternity session at Race and Religious look forward to the next!
New Orleans City Park Family Portraits | Family of Three Posing Guide
Being a New Orleans-based photographer, City Park becomes like a second home. With Dom, Amanda, Apollo, and Bear we decided to take a new approach to the park for their session. Trying new angles in areas we haven’t used often helped us to create new scenic aesthetics with all the Louisiana character for family and individual shots. Once we found the lighting and aesthetic we needed everything was in place to capture every pose combination necessary for a complete session. Apollo lived up to his name with a bright smile that helped his parents flow through the poses with great energy and confidence.

New Orleans Museum of Art has a minimal but classic aesthetic that is perfect for creating elegant shots for our clients. The nude tones, pillars, open space, and of course natural lighting are the main elements of NOMA that make it possible to create its own vibe. Blacks and Reds compliment this scene very well and add a degree of sophistication. Because these colors possess a certain boldness against the nude toned background the photos are able to POP out at the audience!
Nathan and Jasmine were both new to photo sessions but for their engagement portraits they modeled very naturally, head to toe!

This session was special in many ways; it was the first after Hurricane Ida, the first in Houston, it was shot indoors with natural lighting - and it was with Kyle and Drew! Our amazing client friends from Houston, TX are how we ended up at Glassell School of Art’s sophisticated setting. The chemistry we have with these two is unique; from documenting the proposal to second line photos at their wedding, we’ve been there, and they were as excited to see us as we were to shoot with them! Not having to focus any energy getting the subject to be comfortable with us, we were really able to channel our creative flow in new ways. Being an outdoor photographer I see beautiful scenes all the time, but something about the complex sophistication in the depth of its design felt - simple.
